Places and access
A memory, map pin, revisit or AR marker is digital information. It does not establish ownership, a right of entry, permission from a property owner or proof that a route is safe.
Some indoor memories are inside places that require permission, a booking or membership to enter. Only continue if you are already allowed to be there.
Seeing a memory does not give you permission to enter private, restricted or unsafe property.
Using AR safely
Use Timule's AR camera only where it is safe, lawful and respectful to do so. AR may use your camera, location and information about your surroundings. Before opening AR, consider where you are, who is around you and whether photography or recording is permitted.
Where AR cameras are restricted
Sensitive private spaces
Bathrooms, changing or fitting rooms, locker rooms, treatment areas and similar places can involve a strong expectation of privacy.
Do not use the AR camera where people reasonably expect privacy.
Private property and residences
Respect private gardens and yards, residences, gated areas and restricted parts of businesses. A memory or AR marker does not create permission to enter.
Do not enter private property to reach a memory, cross barriers, or point the camera into private homes or windows.
Secure and controlled locations
Military facilities, courts, security checkpoints, infrastructure sites and other controlled locations may restrict photography, recording, device use or physical access. Rules vary by location and circumstances.
Follow local law, warning signs and instructions from authorised staff. Do not use AR where camera use or access is prohibited.
Venues and businesses
Museums, theatres, entertainment venues, casinos, shops and other premises may have their own photography or recording rules.
Respect “No photography”, “No recording” and other venue restrictions. If authorised staff ask you to stop using the camera, stop using AR.
Roads and hazardous areas
Active roads, railway areas, construction sites, industrial environments, hazardous terrain and machinery require your full attention.
Never use AR while driving, cycling, crossing a road, operating machinery or entering a hazardous area. Move somewhere safe before using Timule.
A Timule pin is a digital location marker, not an instruction to follow an unsafe route.
People and privacy
Be considerate when other people may appear in your camera view. Do not use Timule to secretly record, intimidate, follow or intrude on another person.
Location and privacy
Location-linked content can reveal information about real places and people's routines. Think carefully before placing or sharing a memory near a home, school, private location or another sensitive place. Review who can see its content and location.
For details about location information and sharing, read the Timule Privacy Policy.
Protecting young people
Timule has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Timule prohibits content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming for sexual exploitation, sextortion, sexual trafficking of children, or any other form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE).
Users can report memories, comments, accounts and other content through Timule’s in-app reporting tools. Reports involving suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation are reviewed and appropriate action may include removing content, restricting or terminating accounts, and preserving or reporting information where required by applicable law.
Legacy Lab Ltd will take appropriate action when it becomes aware of CSAM and will comply with applicable child-safety reporting obligations, including reporting confirmed CSAM to the relevant authority where required by law.
Reporting a concern
Use Timule’s available in-app reporting tools if a memory, comment, account or location appears unsafe, private or restricted. Location-based features may be limited where necessary.
